My DIY Surveyor's LAmp

While Pinteresting I came across this lamp, I loved the shape, the shade, the wood and the industrial look, I was in love. This lamp is $180, defiantly not my price point.

As I swooned over the Pinterest lamp, I remembered a while back I came across, the bottom tripod wood to the Surveyors kit. It was at a local thrift store. I had actually dug it out of a pile of wood sticks, looked at it and told my self "well this is an interesting piece" and that was it...I left it. I could have kicked my self in the butt for not buying it that day. Anyhow the day I seen the pricey Surveyor's lamp on Pinterest, I ran down to that thrift store and had my fingers crossed that no one had seen it in the pile of wood sticks. I ran right to the back and there it was, I was so excited. I purchased it and a small brass lamp for its guts:)

Complete in my sons room, he loves it and so does my husband.
